In paragraph 8 of my confidential despatch January 26th read $200,000 for $600,000 and $175,000 for $375,000,

Paragraph 12. If unofficial members of Legislative Council agree, may I increase light dues on all British and foreign ocean steamers not subject to Imperial war tax by eight cents per ton during continuance, of war.

Estimated yield of tax is $320,000 a year.

I should be glad of reply by telegraph at an early date.
